How does paying to join work?

When you join a Paid Linkup, you’re not charged straight away. Here’s what happens:

1. You choose Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card, and tap to join (or tap Accept, if a friend invited you). Your spot is confirmed.
2. We place a temporary hold on your card for the Joining Price. If the linkup is coming up soon, this happens when you join. If it’s further away, we save your card securely and place the hold a few days before. See When will I be charged?
3. The linkup happens.
4. After it ends, the held amount is charged.

If the Host cancels or removes you before it ends, the hold is released and you’re never charged.

Payments are processed by Ryft, an FCA-authorised payment institution. Linkup never stores your full card number.
