My request to join was declined. Why?

Hosts decide who joins their linkup, and they don’t have to give a reason. Common ones are that the linkup is full, they’re keeping it to a certain group size, or it’s aimed at a particular level or interest.

Don’t take it personally, there are plenty of other linkups. If you think a Host is excluding people unlawfully (for example because of race, religion, disability or sexuality), please report the linkup.
