Does Linkup do background checks?

No. We don’t run criminal background checks or identity checks on everyone who uses Linkup, and we don’t verify what people say about themselves.

We may screen users at any time, for example against sex-offender registers and sanctions lists, and we remove people who aren’t allowed on Linkup. But safety tools are an aid, not a guarantee, so always follow our Safety Tips.
