Why does Linkup need my location?

Linkup is built around what’s happening near you, so it needs your location to work. We use it to:

• show you linkups and people nearby
• show other people roughly how far away you are
• power AI suggestions for places to linkup near you

Other people never see your exact location. They see an approximate distance or area. The only precise locations on Linkup are linkup locations, and those are only shown to people going.

We only use your current location. We don’t keep a history of where you’ve been. More in Who can see my location?
