Going to your first linkup? Here’s what to know

Nerves are normal. Everyone at a linkup has chosen to be there to meet new people, which makes it much easier than walking up to strangers anywhere else.

Before

• Read the linkup details and any rules from the Host.
• Say hi in the group chat. It breaks the ice before you arrive.
• Tell a friend where you’re going and when you’ll be back.
• Plan your own way there and home.

On the day

• Turn up on time. If plans change, leave the linkup in the app so the Host knows.
• Look for the Host, or message the group chat when you arrive.
• Stay in control of your drink and belongings.

After

• Add the people you clicked with as friends so you can message them.
• Report anyone who made you feel uncomfortable.
